Traditional temples & modular synths. Venetian Snares in Tokyo.
Way back in February I had Venetian Snares guest on Ikimasho! – picking some of his favourite YouTube videos for me. I took the chance to hang out with Aaron last time he was here in Tokyo – checking out a couple of shrines, as well as the Five G synth shop my mate Haru works at in Harajuku. Arigato.
Ikimasho!
If you’re in Tokyo – and are into synths or electronic music – definitely check out Five G. It’s located on the fourth floor of an anonymous looking building just opposite the Takeshita Exit of Harajuku station on the Yamanote Line. (Walk in to the back of the entrance were you’ll find a dress up store for Japanese maid costumes. Next to this store is an elevator, which you ride to the fourth floor.)
Venetian Snares’ new album, My Love is a Bulldozer, is out now on Planet Mu.
